General Description
HOT TANK is a biodegradable, alkaline, water-based blend of nonionic detergents, solubilizers, chelators, penetrants and builders designed for specification cleaning of storage tank wall surfaces, pipelines, ship holds, and equipment not affected by contact with water. HOT TANK has been proven effective cleaning vegetable and hydrocarbon oils. Depending upon the degree of its dilution with water, HOT TANK is an excellent general purpose cleaner and oil emulsifying degreaser. HOT TANK is ideally suited for degassing and decontaminating barges, ships, tanks, vats and for all engine room maintenance. HOT TANK is safe and effective for use in non-food cleaning processes as per 9 CFR 416.4 (see below).Application
HOT TANK is highly concentrated. HOT TANK can be applied as provided or can be diluted with water to desired concentration for best results. Industry standard application equipment can be used to apply product in concentrate or diluted form.For flood circulation cleaning of small vessels or pipelines, use 2 to 10 percent by volume. Adjust concentration for soil conditions. Use 2 to 10 percent for butter-worth cleaning.
Product can also be applied as provided and fire hoses can be used to rinse. For steam flood cleaning of tanks and barges, apply product undiluted, flood with steam and utilize fire hoses or other suitable methods for rinsing.
