General Description
ET-1458 is a combination of organic acids, solvents, wetting agents and corrosion inhibitors designed for cleaning multi-metal cooling systems, heat exchangers, piping and external metal surfaces. ET-1458 is very effective in removing rust, rust stains; carbonate scales and organic material normally found in cooling systems and process equipment. It is also effective in removing tars, paraffin, sludge, and other hydrocarbon residues. It is safe for use on carbon steel, stainless steel and cast iron. It is not recommended for use in systems containing aluminum, brass, or copper.Application
For cleaning internals of piping and equipment, a circulation method may be used. Depending on the severity of contamination, ET-1458 may diluted to 20% activity in fresh water. Circulating time depends on the contamination but may vary between 4-6 hours. ET-1458 is NOT recommended for cleaning external surfaces.Physical Properties
