General Description
AI-60 is a versatile and effective corrosion inhibitor for use in acid cleaning and pickling.
Suggested Uses
Pickling: For batch pickling in 10% HCL, use 1.5 pounds of AI-60 per 100 gallons of acid to achieve 99.7% inhibition. If faster speed and less protection is desired, reduce level.Use 1 pound AI-60 per 100 gallons of H2SO4 for 98% protection.
After pickling, rinse and follow with and alkaline wash.
AI-60 will not promote hydrogen embrittlement. It is soluble in high concentrations of ferric ions.
Industrial Cleaning
Use 1% AI-60 based upon 100% hydrochloric, sulfuric, acetic, phosphoric, or hydrofluoric acids. Use 0.5% based upon 100% oxalic, citric, or sulfamic acids.Typical Performance Properties
