General Description
Fiberglass boats all share a similar trait in that the exterior gelcoat finish is so porous that dirt, algae, mineral deposits and oils adhere to the pores as well as to the surface. These microscopic compounds must be removed before painting or waxing the bottom (or waxing the topsides), or they will be sealed in the gelcoat. FIBER BRITE is an acid-based cleaner that is very effective for removing algae, barnacles, oil scum and the familiar reddish-brown waterline "mustache." FIBER BRITE is a blend of aggressive acids, detergents and cleaners specifically formulated to clean fiberglass.
Application
Dilute FIBER BRITE in ratios of 1 : 5 or 1 : 10 in water depending on surfaces to be cleaned. FIBER BRITE can be applied with a brush or sprayer on wet surfaces. Apply from the bottom and work up allowing two to five minutes for penetration of the deposits. Brush off deposits and rinse.
